At INGEOTEC, we understand the importance of a solid investigation for any solar project. Our geotechnical investigation services include site characterization, soil testing, and foundation design to ensure that your project has the most accurate information possible. Our geotechnical engineering team provides an adequate soils and rock parameters for foundations while considering the constraints that can be further optimized via site-specific pile load testing programs at your request.

OUR SERVICES

Our team’s involvement in the design of solar PV, Substations, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) has included field investigations, laboratory testing services and pile load testing. 

Specifically, we perform:

 

Field Geotechnical Investigation 

  • Subsurface investigations: soil test borings (SPT), cone penetration testing (CPT) and test pits. 

  • Field electrical resistitvity testing using the Wenner 4-Pin Method.

  • In-situ thermal resistivity testing

  • Percolation Testing

  • Seismic cone penetration testing (SCPT)

 

Laboratory Testing 

  • Index properties of soils and rocks, such moisture content, grain size, Atterberg limits, unconfine compressive strength, expansion index, hydrometer, etc. 

  • Lab thermal resistivity testing.

  • Limerock and California Bearing Ratio (LBR & CBR)

  • Corrosion Series

  • Standard and Modified Proctor

Pile Load Testing 

  • Installation of different type of piles to different embedments

  • Monitoring of pile driving times

  • Uplift (pull-out) testing

  • Lateral load testing
